Listed below are the various types of corrective and reconstructive surgical services offered by Abington Reproductive Medicine:
NEW! Robotic surgery (da Vinci system):
If your physician recommends surgery, you may be a candidate for the da Vinci system. Currently the world’s most technologically advanced surgical robotic system, it allows surgeons to operate with extreme precision and accuracy, resulting in smaller incisions and much faster recovery times (typically a few days). With this system, surgeries that previously required large abdominal incisions, four- to five-day inpatient hospital stays and four to six weeks of post-operative recuperation, can now be performed on an outpatient basis.
The da Vinci system can be used for the following reproductive procedures:
- Myomectomy (removal of uterine fibroids)
